Intermittent Tourer tailgate opening
The tailgate has been playing up recently and I have found I can get it working again by removing the outside protective rubber grommet and spraying copiously with contact cleaner but this only works for a week or less. Presumably this means replacing the micro switch which I am pleased to see is available from that ever helpful Mr Rimmer?

I had a similar issue with mine not opening on the tailgate button but would pop open if the unlock button on the remote was pressed. I allocated some time the following weekend to strip out the tailgate and check the button and wiring but it started working again....... love a self fixing car
