Question Silicone boost pipe

What are the advantages/disadvantages to fitting a silicone boost pipe from the intercooler to ERG?
Will it improve boost stability and power or do they do nothing apart from looking good?

Not a technical answer but I would say more for looks.
The original houses go soft and absorb oil.
Normal silicone hoses will do the same and if you go for a nice colourful one , it will lose some colour and start to look dull.
You can get proper silicone ones which are fluro something lined and these will last .
Not 100% but I think jules sells the correct ones.

The advantage is that it will still be in good condition when your car goes to the car park in the sky.---Lol.--

Do you mean intercooler to engine or EGR valve ???

Anyway, to answer your question, as long as there are no leaks of pressure from the pipe, it makes no difference if it was made of rubber, silicone or concrete.

Its only function is to carry X cubic feet of air at X Psi from A to B without leaking pressure and air.
