Unhappy Deep regrets maybe my ZT-T is to go

Hi All
I don't want to to this but as my ZT-T maybe the clutch is knackered I cannot afford to get this sorted and due to ill health is there anyone here or the club want to get it sorted as I don't want it scrapped other than the possible clutch it's in good order any offer for complete car considered if I can't sort it for little or no money.
There are a few on here who know my situation.
Many thanks in advance.
Paul.
Ps need an answer asap otherwise m
I might need to scrap her as cannot afford insurance ect if just sitting there.

Check the nearside driveshaft is secure in the gearbox before doing anything rash Paul, and report back please.

It will be possible using a flat screwdriver to see if it is loose, as if fitted correctly, a very sharp shock with a prybar is required to overcome the securing circlip

Take a look at this picture........

Where I've arrowed in yellow is the inner CV joint that I suspect isn't fitted correctly to the differential gear, and this can be checked with minimal effort, both physical and in terms of time.

Best of luck

Brian

I am in a similar boat with my fathers car.
The clutch kit was £140.
It will be a DIY, so I am hoping to keep costs down, but I think it will take me a day.
Can you offer a local mechanic £200 for their labour and get the parts yourself?

be prepared to find other things wrong so an inspection underneath before agreeing to have clutch done is wise.
I found drop links, strut bearings, lower arm bushes all shot.
As for £200 labour, I think that's hopeful.

If the gearbox is out then a slave change may also be advisable and then consider if the DMF has had it

Mine went on holiday so no chance of doing it myself. Clutch, slave, dmf + labour cost me £900

Has any progress been made in terms of diagnosis yet?
