Default Wheel/Tyre combo

Would 17" wheels with 225 55 tyres fit a 75 with standard suspension, or would I get tyre rubbing?

With 225 tyres you would have to fit 225/45 R17 but have a read of the following thread and links as certain wheels had that size of tyre fitted

Going down to 45 profile tyres you'll lose the 75 comfort, the ride will be noticeably harsher.

The 17" serpents look great but the 45 aspect does make the car choppy on some surfaces - my 1.8T on 16's is more civilised in the ride department.
