I had soaked mine a few times over the week before changing with penetrating fluid, I must have been lucky because a couple of taps with a hammer and drift and it started to unscrew. I could see that the fluid had done it's job though.

I think the hydramount area is in need of some chrome!

So after receiving the special tool from Lee tried to remove the hydramount, not a chance Everytime I tried to turn it, the tool slipped off. Decided to invest in an impact wrench, I can get downward pressure while using the wrench. This doesn't arrive until Monday, so decided to have a walk to Halfords and get some plusgas to give it a soak over the weekend. While at Halfords, got myself an 18 inch breaker bar. Got home and gave the mount a good squirt and gave the bar a try. no luck, but I did notice one of the tangs was bent on the mount, so got out the hammer and long screwdriver to tap it straight, guess what happened? the damn thing started to loosen Kept hammering and off it came Unbelievable Jeff
So new one fitted, everything back together and all's well So thanks to DMGRS for the mount, Lee for the loan of the tool My advice is, just hammer the thing off |

Changed my hydromount couple of years ago, as suspected it was stuck solid. smacked 7 bells out of it and eventually got it to move and refit the replacement. Wasn't until talking to Trikey later at a meet he explained to me that the hydro mount screws into a captive nut on the inside of the chassis and if the weld that holds the nut breaks then your in a lot of trouble Glad I didn't know that whilst wielding my 2lb lump hammer....
