Default Air Con O Rings

Hi all.

After rebuilding my 3 speed cooling fan - which now works on all speeds - I'm wondering about the O rings on the Air Con where it connects on the driver's side of the rad.

I'll be getting new rings and they need to be lubed for reassembly. RAVE 82-11 #8.

Now, RAVE says "clean refrigerant oil" but a bit of reading around the subject has left me baffled. Some say absolutely not refrigerant oil, some say silicon oil, some mineral oil and about the only one I haven't found is snake oil .

There's something called Nylog Blue which crops up regularly https://www.derbyshire-refrigeration...hread-sealant/

Obviously I only need a very small amount.

Some advice from the great and good would be appreciated.

TIA.
