New rear number plate......but now decisions !!!!
Finally got around to fitting the new shaped plate to the Mk1 ZT, but I'm now torn between the replacement interior for the Starlight Primertallic Mk2 ZT.
So will it be sports leather memory, or.........indeed I'm in two minds now, which would you fit, bearing in mind either set would look better in the car than in the kitchen Brian |

I would go sports leather and save them for when you get another car that had blue in the paint or something that compliments blue just my choice if I was in your shoes

Well, I decided to install a subwoofer in the boot today and what an absolute pain. I couldn't find a decent route through the bulkhead on the passenger side so installed the power cables on the drivers side and went through with the bonnet release grommet. Because of this route the cable luckily was just the correct length. Those internal trims are lethal on the skin.

Over the weekend I fitted my replacement reversing sensor loom only to find that a connector from my original loom had snapped off in the female section of the connector. I replaced the connector block so my loom now works. Unfortunately I have a faulty sensor so I shall have to find a replacement. I also replaced the rear brake pads and done a bit of rust proofing on the underside.

Today I fitted new headlamp bulbs as one had blown. Different ones than before so best to replace both.
Having done this before I jacked the car up, removed the wheel and got to work. My decrepit old body can't stand doing it any other way.

Today I sorted out my door handle, replaced some door card clips and the carpet kick cover clips. It is these little details which annoy me most, feeling satisfied now.

Today I cleaned up an exhaust lower bracket and painted with Hammerite ready for fitting later in the week.
I also salvaged the heatshield from the old broken undertray/splashguard, scrubbed it up in kitchen sink with a splash of fairy liquid Now just trying to find some foam to go on the new undertray, it`s about half inch thick 1/2" if anyone knows what kind and where to buy some, that would be good Ken. |
