Fuel Consumption
Looking at back "Posts" I noticed a photo of Fuel Consumption 40.9 in a post by MGJOHN , my question is, how do you find the fuel consumption ? . My 75 is facelift 2.0 CDTi Connoisseur . I was not aware the car had this facility.

Depends on whether you have the message centre in the instruments, the upper screen can show messages and not just warning symbols, if it has the message centre there will be a button on the end of the indicator stalk to scroll through the different info.
The inbuilt fuel consumption reading is optimistic to say the least, better to do a brim to brim calculation, fill the tank, record the mileage, next fill record the mileage and how much fuel went in. Divide the amount of fuel into the miles to give x miles per gallon. |

And just add a conversion multiply the amount of litres by .22 to get gallons.
I do it all the time, fill the tank to the brim and yes the car computer mpg reading is always a higher figure than the actual. That’s with both the 75 and the Merc. |

MPG Calulator
I use MPG calculator from google search. Reset the trip metre after each refill to the top & keep my receipt with litres of fuel pumped.
Today I got 32.28mpg on my 2.5ltr auto (driven very conservatively). My 1.8T manual averages 35mpg (driven a little more lively). |

have a look at this thread
https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ghlight=access there is a post showing two types of display in post 4. if you have the display on the left you cant access the mpg, average speed unless you change your display and change the indicator stalk for one with a button on the end. you can get another set of diesel clocks from a scrap yard that has the correct display and correct indicator stalk. You will need one of the T4 guys to configure the "new" clocks to your car. swopping indicator stalk and clocks... 30 minutes. Configuring clocks may be an hour. you can also get access to a digital speedo which I'm told is more accurate indicator stalk and clocks cost me £20. what you wont know until you try it, is if the display has lines through it but you may be able to return it to the scrap yard or post in the wanted section for the parts . macafee2 |

All models do the calculation, so without a HighLine display, you have to accress the Trip Screen Diagnostics. This will tell you the averaged consumption rate. It also has the current rate (instantaneous consumption) but the display has to be setup before you start driving. For better accuracy, there's also details on how to calibrate the output using your own brim-brim readings.

The fuel consumption display is disabled in the message centre in the V8s . . . . I think its in case you faint while driving.
