Last time I did that run keeping to and just above speed limits I got 49.5 mpg from my manual zt-t with the remap.

seems a bit low to me I can regulary get 48/52 overall, motorways and B roads And I dont hang about either

same here,i got 33mpg on a 450 mile round trip in my 2.5 v6

Thanks for all your replies

It is a manual and I was travelling at about 70-75 on the motorways. Temperature gauge hardly got above first line and never beyond second until I was going up the long uphill drag on m62 out of Manchester.

I have a r5 in line stat to fit which I guess will help. Also does feel a little underpowered.

Hi interesting read about the MPG people are getting from their diesel rover 75. I can honestly say that I have got 63 mpg from my rover 75 diesel auto driving at a good constant speed of 65 to 70 mph. Around town I can still achieve 30 to 32 mpg, that's more stop start driving.

Generally on the motorway if I have my ZTT set on cruise control the trip computer normally shows anywhere between about 46 to 53 mpg depending on the traffic.

63 !!! I must be doing something really wrong with mine then. Another thing to consider this time of the year is that the fuel burning heater will knock the overall mpg figures if you do your calculations on the brim to brim method with the use of a phone app.

Build up speed to a constant 55 to 60 mph, reset your ipk , continue to cruise for another 5 miles or so

Brim to brim method, mine constantly achieves 45/46 mpg on M6 trips down to Derbyshire doing 75/80 mph.

I'd be a little disappointed if I were getting below 40 mpg on a run like that. I too have 7o'clock syndrome so, when I fit my R5 thermostat I'd hope to improve slightly on that.
