Cleaned the EGR and repaired the vacuum line to it, washed the car and then took it for a blast down to Blackpool.

Having a go with a cheap Amazon "Paints4U" scratch repair kit.... other than the plastic applicator being incredibly numb to use, resulting in too much being applied, it's actually looking like it could be a decent match... (lots of) time will tell!

Nice to see you getting it sorted. As I've said before it's something which really bugged me. It's looking good so far!

It all went wrong rather quickly - it would appear the boot has been replaced at some point and given a blow over... as a result, I've rubbed through 🤬 been going steady away with fine 2000 grit paper, too....

Finally got someone to fix the headlining - after a DIY failure with a spray can and a paint roller - went for a lighter colour then the previous smokestone

It seemed not unreasonable to top up the screen wash on the ZT as the low level indicator was coming on. Only on emptying the last of a 5 litre bottle of washer fluid (and thinking to myself that should be full by now) was I greeted by an ever increasing flood of fluid underneath the brake duct cover.
Having managed to peek through the lower grille I can see some fluid still in the bottle so I am guessing that there is either a split in the tank or something connected to the headlamp washer pump has come adrift. Either way I'll have to find a moment to whip the front bumper off to investigate. Update - dropped the brake duct cover and found that the pipe had come adrift from the headlamp washer pump, so refitted and make sure the clip was secure. I like quick fixes like that.
