Got some replacement wiper arms from the scrappies, not perfect but much better than the ones on the car (now I will clean up and re paint the old ones) also got a scuttle cover to replace the old one, unfortunately I was too keen on removing from the donor car and broke one end off

Finally got the new (to me) set of black leather sports seats cleaned and leather creamed!

Fitted my new number plates to the ZT, no more nasty eurobadges, or Mazda dealership cack.

Don't you just love it when the numberplates you remove had ten sticky pads on each

Let's just say Mrs Marinabrian's hairdryer has had a workout

Paid a visit to the local breakers in search of required radiator hoses and bottom rail. Sourced those along with a pair of headlights with no dulling on the lenses and a set of wiper blades and arms. Back home and the cooling system repaired and refilled, front end off and headlights replaced with new aquisitions (can now restore the lenses on my old ones in comfort), non existant Shannon tube replaced with neoprene one, and new reversing light switch fitted.

Finally got round to wiring up the chevron indicator repeaters in the door mirrors... found the idea on the forum and although many may consider them folly, I think that in town a cyclist will have a better chance of seeing them than the standard side repeater.

I am also trying an experiment to improve the contrast by removing some of the mirror silver and using an aluminium background on the passenger mirror.

This definitely stands out more and the surface is still 80% as reflective and I have had no issue seeing clearly...

drivers side...

Pass side...

Drivers view reflection pass side...

if it stops a bike or other from running into the passenger side of the car .... job done..
