Id say it was 10X more protection than 90% of the cars out there have!

I really hope so! The poor car has so many scratches and chips, it needs all the protection it can get until I can get them seen to/do something about them. I've found my parents have some turtle wax I could use tonight, but I really don't know if that's any good and I don't really have the time but will do it if necessary...

It will be fine. SRP has sealant properties as well, its just not a top coat to the perfectionists out there.

Im sure its fine, but its rather run of the mill stuff. Most product you can buy in Halfords are ok for a while, but dont last and dont give that extra something special.
I use Wolfs Nano body wrap which was still going strong after 5 months until last week when i couldnt resist any more and machine polished the car again. I also use FK1000P, a synthetic paste wax that can also last months. By 'last' i mean intense beading almost like fresh wax, not just protection. Both would proterct the paint for pretty much a year unless exposed to really nasty chemicals. In fact body wrap needs to be removed with an abrasive.

I know. It's not my choice - I'm just still wondering about using it today, in the absence of anything better.

Yeah its very tough. Doesnt give the finish of the best wax products, but its more durable. There is always a trade off in natural wax products.

The problem with Silver is making it look shiny in pictures. Its really hard! It can look luminous, but rarely reflective.
