Believe it or not, probably yes... these are left over from Christmas..... for some reason, we BUY too much! But its never anyones fault in the house. And then not long after Christmas, the females in the house all decide it is time for Diets! So you can guess who ends up with all the left over Chocs to eat...and I do not really like Chocolate |

And factor in the wheel is a different colour, a complete set of tools I could have had them sandblasted for £5 per wheel, and done a better job with a couple of rattle cans. Instead, nigh on £300 for the "refurbishment" of five wheels, four of which are the same colour one of which isn't, a brand new uniroyal tyre wrecked (the bead was damaged so written off ) so I have bought a replacement tyre (£95) Total tyres £500 Refurb £300 Fuel £50 time wasted 13 hours So if you want a quality job done DO NOT use ROMAX of Ross Road Stockton |

What a crombone of a job that is. Was it done the day after the night before? Personally i would have been after them through the small claims court for that load of rubbish. If it were my company i would want to know who had done the job, and put him on a fizzer. Disgusting is to good a word.

Well you were braver than me Brian, mine have similiar defects when up close ... including a similiar mess on the inside... I took the best wheel at a great angle...
I did not spend what you have, just short of it all in, including tyres off and on... caps etc.. But yes, I agree... would have been better if I had them blasted and did them myself. I did start to sand mine, as intention was to leave the black, as black... and fine sand the shiney bits till they shined again, then laquered many, many coats... BUT using the only tools available to me, a dremel, and small hand sander, it was hard work, due to the weird shapes... SO like you thought I would hand it into a professional body shop...who would be able to get me the best finish... how wrong was I. That slight sparkle you have on yours, was the effect I wanted... Just hope the Tyre guys do not mess anything up now when they fit the tyres back on, on Monday. |
