I'm sure you have a Haynes manual and their guidance on this is pretty good. The bolts are awkward to get to so a flexible socket on a longer bar is helpful. When you have the inlet manifold off, check it for any distortion, and hold the new gasket in place with something like a bit of grease. Whilst you have access check that the jiggle valve is clean and operational.

Not a difficult job, but like all, if you've been there before, it's okay.

Buy the black Viton seal rather than the green/blue version (unless it specifically says it's Viton). For example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-M...wAAOSwiS9eJt86
though you should find one cheaper elsewhwre.

Got the viton one from DMgrs. Does it matter which way it goes on - if you see what I mean.

Absolutely no way for me to access from above with my kit. So are we saying ramp up get underneath and work from the back? If so do i still need all extensions and wobble bars etc or can it be done with just a standard basic socket set once under there?

I've done them from above, and once you have the rigid connections separated, the throttle body/inlet manifold moves backwards away from the block. Practice the positions for the tools before you start.

just can't seem to find a way to get to the lower bolts, do you mean pull away the throttle body then get to them round side and back once that is pulled away?.

Obviously cant move the manifold until bolts are got at. Thanks
