Rear Sills Repair.
Today i removed the rear subframe ready to add the new one, while i was doing that i checked out the orange dreaded mark on the NS sill which i noticed when i changed the rear spring a few weeks back.
A little prodding and yes for sure it's got the tin worm starting not gone far so hopefully caught it in time. 1 2 3 4 Scraped along the sill as you can see from the mark, the rust seems to be local to one area. 5 I have just ordered Tom's sill for the NS and have contacted a mobile welder, fingers crossed he's going to be good to fit this sill. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284325094439

That looks nasty.
The repair panel looks like a nicely made item, though. Bookmarked for future reference. I need to find some similar repair panels for my other half's Rover 25 - had advisory on both sills on last MoT. |

Hi Dawn.
Long time no hear or see, i know and was really pleased when he got in touch with to say he will sort it out for me in September date still to be arranged. I have patched it up over the jacking area since, i have a feeling i might need the jacking point doing as well. 1 2

Hi Ron.
Craftmanship you can see that, don't think the mobile welder i had in mind would have been able to produce the work above.

Aww snap
Yeah snap got same with Nigel on the o/s rear, already got the plate from Tom but he never messaged back about possibly fitting it might chase that up but there is a place down the road i need to check out first.
How bad do these get before MOT is refused? I dont normally do hope but wondering if might get lucky this time really need to get it welded in. Watching with interest anyhow.
