Evening everyone.
Mixed weather today. Been out with the wee car checking out places down narrow lanes. Found a few new pubs to try out. Finished off the last of my spicy chicken casserole. On last Saturday I cleaned my neighbours car, and she bought me some beer to say thank you. Been a long time since I had a glass of Cobra beer. But I’ll give it a go.

Morning all.
Looks like I'm the first one up . Chucking it down here. Miserable, grey and chilly. Watching the forecast to try and find a couple of hours of dryish weather to walk her ladyship (aka Quizzie ). Assuming, of course, that she wakes up after her busy morning of ablutions, breakfast and back to bed . Take care everyone. |

Morning all. Slow day today. A bit overcast. We had some typhoons yesterday! (Courtesy of his majesty's RAF) Couldn't see them but they were there!

Jobs a good un! No one in the ASDA hairdressers when I got there , Haircut, beard trimmed, eyebrows, nose hair & ear hair trimmed by a bootiful young Polish lady for 12 Quid
Did a bit of shopping to get those few moussaka ingredients & a case of Henry's cider for the stores

Never mind the cider, you need some Mythos with the moussaka and some Metaxa to go with the dessert! Kalispera.

Bleedin' schoolkids! Had to go into Musselburgh, retinopathy at the medical centre there. Came out, across the road into Tesco . . . . at the same time as every pupil from the local secondary school, took ages to get through the checkout Didn't improve after that, had to wait 30 minutes for a bus which is supposed to be every 10 minutes then as a final insult the heavens open and got soaked between the bus stop and the house.

Hi all,
Got a message from Jessica today on Phil’s progress……. Morning! Hope all well. Phil had the operation yesterday and considering everything was doing ok in recovery last night. A lot of pain today. Will be pushing for better control, but wasn’t allowed in till 12. He will get through it. Best wishes, Jessica

Morning all......It's bleedin' cold out there.....5c
One of our cats (Sydney) wasn't very well Monday. He usually sleeps in the bedroom at night but Sunday evening he stayed out in the catio all night and was a bit subdued Monday morning. Came back from work Monday afternoon and he was much the same but come the evening he was crying out in pain. Typically this was after out Veterinary practice was closed so we had to drive him to the out of hours Vets in Colchester. After examination he was found to have a full bladder and something blocking his ability to pee. He was admitted for the night so they could catheterise him and find the cause. Turns out he had crystals in his dangly bit blocking his urethra. Crystals by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr He is doing much better now after them being removed and fingers crossed will be able to come home later today. Total cost of this so far ...............£2000 (ish)
