Has your car been written off -Close call bodywork repairs
We offer a close call body repair service for participating insurance companies
If you are in the South West area and you think your Rover may be written off, we may be able to save it by offering a contract price repair service using quality used parts where available. Although this is a cheaper option, our repairs and paintwork are still carried out to insurance standards. We are only able to offer the service as we have access to the parts at a better price than insurance recommended repairers. We can check directly with your insurance company and find out if they are prepared to allow this service. Currently, we have carried out work with Direct Line (they have five insurance companies under the name) and Allianz. Email for further information or ring 01626 332525 Alternatively, your car may have been written off but you choose to keep the salvage and want an economical repair. We can also help in this case, either with parts or an affordable repair price. |

Is this the Xpart Close Call Scheme?
I wasn't aware it was restricted to certain insurance companies, why would one insurer repair a car and another one write it off? |

As an Xpart garage we can offer the Xpart Close Call Scheme
But we also offer our own service, primarily for the older cars which most insurance companies would write off as uneconomical to repair. The problem is with most insurance companies, they send customers to their own approved body shop who usually give extortionate quotes-hence writing off the car. We repair with quality used panels and parts to the same high standard as the bodyshops, which is how we can usually keep the quote under the write off value. Insurance companies are a law unto themselves though, some will not accept used parts and one we know of -LV-actually told the customer they did not want her low mileage mint S reg MGF back on the road as it was too old!! Direct line and the 5 companies under their umbrella will accept contract price repairs with used parts, and their are some others I can't remember at the moment. When a customer contacts us, we speak to their insurance company with a sensible quote a hope that they are prepared to accept it. We also give sensible quotes for customers who want to pay for their own repairs. Hope this answers your question Kind regards Lynn |
