Zig Zag
My first time here @The Zig Zag Pier in St Monans, Fife. Also known locally as "The Blocks". A breakwater calming the entrance to the harbour. It felt anything but calm as the waves came rolling in.

What a great place. I bet you could shoot that in so many ways and in so many different weather conditions.
Well done. |

Thanks guys. I am not too happy with this picture to be honest. Not quite what I had in my head. I'd like to go back and try again. I wish I had a wider lens also. That costs money, however. Rover 75 comes first.....
Rocket - Yes, totally. I have seen lots of pictures of this pier from different angles in different weather conditions. A long exposure works best, however IMO or a shutter speed of around a second or so in some cases to catch the movement of the water as it crashes onto the pier. |

I did just say to the wife that I must get out more but I get bored if I have to drive to far and I get bored photographing for to long. I had just come up with a plan to go to Arundel. Not to far, has a Castle, Cathedral and a river. Nice old town. So maybe on a nice day soon I will go there. Flickr pics of Arundel https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Arundel |

I like the 2nd one more Does your version of lightroom have the panorama option. You can always stitch 2 or 3 pics together for a wider look.
