Default Charging light.

Now to add to my list of Things to do after lockdown .

I've Just noticed the charging light is just visible, really , really faint and only some of the time.

Did put new brushes in a while ago .. but the CDTi still start runs & perfectly, and montoring the Volts on the IPK its on 14v at tickover and 14.2 about whilst running ?. and 12.8v off charge

the Armature was good nick when the brushes were replaced.

Think I have the original rectifier pack somewhere with replacement bushes.

May try that when I have sorted the 1st list item .. I.E holey exhaust

Then only front suspension to do

any alternator clues ? maybe its a warning of the future

Could be the start of the control wiring rubbing through - might be worth tracing it back from the alternator.

Had time for a a peep and the Alt plug has lost its Clip
so not held in tight. .

Plus when having a listen with the the Screwdriver stethoscope for the odd noises, the alternator is buzzing vibration wise , quite a lot when the screwriver is just resting on it
