Rover 75 1.8 Automatic ( with 1.8T engine) W.H.Y.
Here we go:
A 1999 Rover 75 1.8 Automatic in Atlantic blue Connoisseur SE with Sandstone Electric seats Approx 105,000 mile on the clock This is a 1999 model that has had a 1.8 Turbo engine fitted, all the work was carried out by a reputable mechanic (Dave Johnson) and electrics and T4 work done by Marina Brian Last MOT was June this year so expires June 2018 it had three advisories all been brake pipes, these have been replaced this last week (again by same mechanic) Engine came out of a 53 plate 1.8T Manual that had the following work carried out Aug 2012 Timing Belt Jan 2013 Head Gasket Feb 2014 Turbo Replaced May 2015 Water Pump and again new timing belt and an extensive list of things that were done for the engine swap. A lot of work and money has gone into this car, and I am sad to even think of letting it go, but I am a realist, at present I cant keep three cars on the road that cost so much in tax etc, this car is standing as a 'spare to fall back on' and it is not getting used. Currently has Insurance and Tax so able to move it around, but it will go onto a SORN and stored at the end of the month, my big fear then is that it wont come back out of my compound, and eventually will be used for spares..... I don't want to see that. The three thing that I do know need to be done, is a new fuel tank sender unit is required (from a 1.8T) The Engine management light is on (this is because the 1.8T has two oxygen sensors on the exhaust, however the original 1.8 only had one, so the second sensor needs to be wired into the harness) It did have an issue with the inlet manifold, which caused it to rev high and not go anywhere (the broken piece was glued back in place) The car drives ok like this but I have a replacement manifold for it (would recommend it gets done) I am reluctant to put it up for sale as no way will it ever return the outlay on it, but I am open to sensible swaps, with realistic values So What Have You ? (W.H.Y.) Full pictures and details can be e mailed just please send me a PM

That looks lovely, gorgeous colour too. Too many cars though, and too little of everything else.

I understand your dismay, sadly i have to let a car go I am not in a position to keep it financially, I above everyone would love someone to come along and take it from me for the asking price of £600 which is what I listed.
However I make no apologies for repeating this; but everyone wants these cars but no one wants to pay the prices, I am not prepared to leave it to rot in the compound. If no one wants it as a car then there is only one other way. I offered it here for swaps, anything would have been considered to ensure it stayed as it was (Bike, Caravan, cheap euro run around) My next dilemma is do I cut loose and sell the diesel as well, seriously I have to cut my monthly outlay
