Tank seals (x2) available from your local BMW outlet if you don't want to wait for ebay. Bought one just a couple of months ago, can't remember the exact price but under 100 crowns.

(the BMW part number is on the seals)

Regards

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Found the invoice from BMW (Bavaria) part number 1 16 14 1 182 905, didn't have one locally but got one up from Malmö for collection next morning, cost 95 skr: great service.

Skruvat.no list them too (29 nkr) art.no 27622 cheaper but only available from the supplier, no stock.

Regards

This is what you need. Just done mine last month. Same symptoms - strong smell of fuel and fuel leaking under car. Upon removing the seat, it was evident that passenger side was leaking with a small amount of fuel sitting above the seal.

In my case, similar problem just after my purchase, mainly when filling up the tank, but the other way round, on our LHD passenger side, that is on the right side when you're looking at your car from behind, where the filler cap is.

The usual cause is from someone working on a tank module (pump or filter) and not refitting it correctly. The seal will only fit one way up on the tank port lip. Check whether the existing seal is mechanically OK but misfitted. The seals themselves are fairly robust and it may not require replacement.

This might help: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ead.php?t=9108
You need just the port seal info.
