Default radio code

Hi can any one answer this when it is cold and below -1 the code goes and you have to recode it thanks

Had a stereo that did the same, I presumed it was that the unit probably has an internal battery to store the presets and codes etc, a bit like a CMOS battery in a PC, that isn't working, and discharging in some way when it’s very cold, if you ever have a battery that’s nearly flat and put it on a radiator for a short period of time to warm up it often works for a short space of time

You will find it is the valves in that radio of yours. try bleeding the radiator that might help.

Hi Brian. Not car related but m/cycle related. My bike when it was cold would not start. Long story short. It was a wire that was connected to the coil. It had a break in it, and when cold, obviously shrank, thereby came apart and there was no electrical circuit. Needed a new coil because the break was hidden in the wrapping round the coil.So on that, have you got a broken wire hidden away somewhere.?

Perhaps the when cranking the battery voltage drops too low and the radio 'thinks' its been disconnected
