Sorry Ed3, missed that one.
White grease on all sliding surfaces and body side loops the locks catch on. Just a smear. A drip of oil on all the moving parts you can see. -2C this morning, frost and ice everywhere but they all open, must do something about the "joints" on the wind screen wiper bars, bit too rigid to work, so had resort to moving them by hand to free up, to give reliable contact, rubber to glass. |

Try some rubber lubricant on the door seals. Doesn't address the locking problem but stops the doors freezing shut overnight. Also good on boot seals to keep them flexible and watertight. Have to say that my central locking has always worked in sub-zero temperatures.

Silicone spray on the seals is less messy than rubber lube and works a treat.

I've always used hot water over the lock and the outside of the door.
It does the trick in a minute or so. Remember not to defrost the glass with hot water though, it goes bang! Mick |

I realise this is an old thread revisited, But I don't think anyone should be using WD40 on their locks.
Use the correct product and you won't have any problems KABA lock cleaning / lube is what you need.
