Default Mr Dyson

Has decided to build his electric car in Singapore! What's wrong with the UK?

Apparently his upcoming BEV will be classed as a British export if it ever sees the light of day........and he has said it will be expensive, just like his vacuum cleaners then.

Probably classed as a British export because of his R&D test track/technology centre being on the old WWII base in Wiltshire.

He heralded a new battery BEV to be unveiled in a little over a years time 2020 but since then has lost an enormous amount of money on purchasing/patent licensing Satki3 battery technology which has amounted to nothing & since been abandoned

Because he exports British technology and know how to create manufacturing and employment elsewhere?

I have always disliked the man - thoroughly patriotic until he thinks about the size of his wallet.

In defence of the man, Dyson paid for my nephew' s university fees several years ago and since then, he qualified to become an accountant at the firm and has been working with Dyson at his HQ, interestingly the same nephew raised over £50,000 for charity cycling across the USA. You dislike Dyson. That is something I cannot help you with

Singapore ain't the cheapest place to build a factory. Land prices are pretty steep.

So by that argument, Honda shouldn't be called a Japanese company as they make cars in Swindon.
BMW shouldn't be called a German company as they make cars in Oxford.
Nissan shouldn't be called a...........
Etc, etc.

And that greenbelt land is across the road from what was my old school (now houses). It was a couple of scrubby fields that was never good for much except grazing cattle on.
He's brought a hell of a lot of money into the local economy
