Jules, what's your view on the public physical threats made by a valued expert?? No-one is standing up about them?

And no, I couldn't care less about the personalities involved. Just about bullying and elitism. Is it only the "trusted and valued expert" members who count then? My professional standards were of integrity. Yours must be too?

Honest question.

Dougie.

Anyone who knows me will testify that the last thing I am is a bully or a member of the elite god help us!! I bit my tongue during the snipes at the remap comments in the ‘marinabrian’ thread, it was only when being accused of something which was not my fault that I have decided to bite back.

There is only so much I will take before I will fight my corner.

I decided to put this here to air my views as the last thread was closed and I felt it unfair to not be alllowed to say my piece.

So it's ok then to threaten people who disagree with you, or even wind you up? Bite? Fight? Call people sh1ts? if that's not bullying behaviour, then I've clearly been misguided over my lifetime of dealing with them.

How many times can you be pushed before you bite back?

That's a reasonable question. Why bite at all? Why react as you have done? Honestly Trikey, I've read absolutely nothing which has been written these last few days which would justify being abusive in public on a forum. People have asked direct questions - myself included although I hadn't set out to - about technical issues (remap performances mainly) and you've responded uber-defensively and then aggressively. You then started a new thread on a matter which was closed down, saying it was unfair and that you wanted to make new members aware of the facts (injustice).

I could not care less about the technical issues other than simply having some questions answered (I have my own Synergy box thread running for that). If anyone wants to question my abilities or even integrity, that's a matter for them. I'll probably respond but it'll usually be to debate, certainly not to threaten physical violence.

If you have a low tolerance level for criticism, unsubscribe from the thread and move on. That's my honest answer to your question.

Dougie.

Default Just putting FB my side of the story across

I do not have a low tolerance level of criticism, anyone can check, recheck and criticise my work all they want, the issue I have is that I’m being accused of causing damage to an engine.

Or maybe stop trying to wind certain members up
All I have seen over the last few days is the same names posting stuff that eventually people will respond to.
Sad times that this brilliant club is again trying to self destruct by a few people posting needless posts under the pretext of they dont like something so everyone else has to follow their beliefs.
I will keep paying my fees and using the wonderful traders and know it alls on here .
I have a huge respect for a lot of the members on here but these posts make sad reading sometimes.
My one and only post on this.

Stan

So what? Ignore it. I'm being criticised here of making needless posts about your physical threats to a member because I think it's inappropriate, but nothing is being mentioned about that. That's the way it is. Does that make me wrong for calling it out? I don't believe so, but others clearly do. I'm not opening threads about it though as it'll change nothing except polarise things even more. The same applies to this thread, if I'm honest.

I’m not going to ignore it, it’s a bit like eBay feedback, some folk will read it and believe it to be true.

Really? I seriously doubt that. You're held in high esteem here and you must know that - just look at the thanks and positive comments you get, not to mention people coming to your defence come what may. Good luck to you. But just don't expect everyone to overlook threats. In that respect, it is a bit like eBay feedback.
