Dropped SWMBO off in town early this morning - time for her eyesight test - I suspect the end result of that will be a bill for a couple of hundred pounds

But - always look on the bright side - it's not raining, it's not warm, but it ain't cold, we have lots of Steve's young ladies to keep us warm - life could be worse.
I'm seriously considering a sort of diet plan - I'm due for my annual coronary heart disease check up - and I just know that after the CHD Nurse has weighed me - words like "body mass index" and the like are going to be uttered with a frown on her face

Whatever you're doing today, as they said on Hill Street Blues "be careful out there"

Sorry to hear that Steve - as has been said, if our brandy of idiocy can help to make things a little easier for you - we're all here to pitch in.

I doubt the LCOZ can be outdone when it comes to idiocy
To avoid any machine gun attacks from others - that is a compliment

I wonder how many times that I have heard that in the pass Rod you must lose weight, yet I don't think that I am that much over weight

Remembering this day my Dear Dad,who left this world 24 years ago today.
Dad was an old soldier who was wounded during the landings of Crete.

We must also remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

RIP Dad you will always be here for us in our hearts.

My father died 24 years ago too Steve (August), and like you, he will always be in our hearts. He spent most of the War at RAF Debden - but would NEVER speak about what happened - especially in relation to the Battle of Britain.

I think our generation DO remember, and DO give thanks for the sacrifices that gave us the Country we live in today (which is still a pretty darned good one despite the detractors); whether future generations will hold the same memories - I'm not so sure
