Default Reconnecting battery

Hi. Does anyone know what Rover recommends (if anything) to reteach the ECU when, for whatever reason, the battery is reconnected. Haynes says allow to idle until warm then 2 mins at 1200 rpm followed by a 5 miles varied run, but there is no mention of this in the cars handbook.

The answer is you do absolutely nothing at all

Simply reconnect the battery and drive the car, nothing changes when you disconnect the battery
