Compressor and air line in the garage, much better than faffing about with foot pumps. I have a plug in one that I take on holiday incase the caravan needs a top up.

Foot pump? Yes I've got one and use it for motorbikes (not used often, so may top up before going to the petrol station to check pressures) and cycles. Not used on my cars, but could do in an emergency. I always check pressures at a petrol station air-line.

You're old? I've just extended the gauge on my foot pump with 4mm air pipe so I can hold it in my hand whilst pumping up the tyres, so no more stooping to look to see what the pressure is.

Afraid I go back further - petrol was 37.5p PER GALLON. No wonder I could afford to run a 3.3 litre Vauxhall Cresta as my first car!
