Another unresolved thread?!!

We have our first AC command fault in that there is no earth feed from ATC panel to the coil of compressor relay 7.
Cooling fan works both speeds but no relay 7 operation.
(relay tests ok in Foglamp slot)

12v present at contact and coil side of relay.
We will post results of findings soon

Default A/c not working

This may sound a silly question, have you set the temperature to LO, and switched off ECON, i had mine set at low, but forgot to switch off the ECON, A/C would not work, i switched it off car was lovely and cool in minutes. I had a problem last year with the A/C had it recharged worked for a while then nothing, i suspected the condenser, bought a new one, old one was damaged, it sits un front of the radiator and gets a hammering from stones.

All sorted now.

Fuse 9 (10amp) was blown due to short circuit.
Compressor clutch was found to be burnt out and reading zero ohms.

This ZTT was on 150k miles with the old 3 speed fan still fitted which will have been duff for several years.

Using AC without a working fan had obviously taken it's toll!!

We fitted a new compressor and new top flex pipe to condenser due to a very common leak here.

Now running ice cold once again with of course one of our new uprated Revotec fan kits
