When I was (a lot!) younger we lived in Berwick. I was in the Air Cadets and was something of a hot shot, 25 yards .22 rifles, live ammo not airguns. I regularly represented the Northumberland region in competitions. Anything below 95 out of 100 was disappointing, 99 was regular and an occasional 100.

The current air rifle is purely for pest control, primarily long tails that come in from the old mine/mining museum next door.

Never thought about my life that way Phil. Also did full bore shooting in the cadets, the good ole' Lee Enfield .303 WW2 vintage, at an open air range at Ponteland, on the outskirts of Newcastle. The .303 had a kick like a mule and if you didn't hold it tight into your shoulder you'd regret it.
