The two part head MLS gasket should have been fitted dry as it bonds itself to the metal on first fire up of the engine after fitting.

Ran car to pressurise coolant system, left overnight. Took out all plugs and dipped each cylinder, No 2 had water in it. Did pressure test each cylinder. Results as follows:
Cyl 1 11.5 Bar, No 2 10, No 3 11.2, No 4 11.3 Why oh why did I not do this before I took the head off, maybe I probably would have still suspected a blown head gasket and not examined the head closer. |

No head gasket replaced a year ago, with skimed head new water pump etc... I haver posted further post where it looks like i have a crack in cylinder head No 2
