Car Key question
Hi All
I have purchased a new key fob to replace the one on my only key, because the push pads were starting to split. The new key fob was supplied with a blank metal shaft - my question is if I was to have this metal blank shaft cut/milled, at a key cutters and I then attached this to the old empty of electronics fob, what if anything would it enable me to do, for example, could I rescue my only fully working key if I was to inadvertently lock it in the boot. Thanks in advance. |

A "dumb" key (no electronics) will open the driver's door or boot if its a mk1.

Save you getting wet if it's raining. Will get you in the dry while you're waiting to be rescued.---
