Great car
Ive just got a new car and it is a great car, a Jeep grand cherokee, has every thing in it, drives awesome but i jumped into my Rover 75 and took it for a drive
and thought what a great car it is. The other advantage is, you can still service these cars, unlike the Jeep, most of it is dealer specific apart from oil changes. |

They are great . Very under rated by people who haven't driven one .
It's good to drive a different car now and then as you appreciate it more when you get behind the wheel after a few weeks

Always found my Pscan useful.
So can Jeep stop others making after market parts for their cars? Would Jeep sell you parts so you can do the job yourself? |

You can buy afternarket parts for jeep but if you have warranty it may void it- ie
not factory transmission oils etc. As with MGR having a slice of the Texaco N402 oil money, ZF transmissions have a licencing deal oil wise with Chrysler/Fiat. A transmission pan for 8 speed ZF via dealer (Mopar) about $450 aud, afternarket one, about $200 Aud. The big one is that jeep are constantly updating their cars with software updates, some updates are good, others cause all sorts of issues until rectified. Unfortunately there appears no cheap programs like Toaf out there to save taking the car to the dealers every time a fault light appears. |
