Are we heading for another kind of driver shortage with 100K drivers just one offence away from a driving ban

The licence bureau did 830000 licence checks and also found 5000 drivers who shouldn't have been on the road

loads of drivers with 12 points and more, they just plead hardship or some other clap trap and keep their licence. They have had a number of chances but some knob keeps giving them more chances to ignore.

no licence my mean no job, the whole family may suffer, blame "dad" no one else

My view too.

Yes, we can all have a lapse from time to time, it happens. And there's some highly questionable practises particularly around changing the limit on motorways/main roads when there's absolutely nothing happening, but you've had a fair few "warnings" to rack up enough points for a ban the next time round.
