The TORX T50 fits but be careful you don't round off the bolt as it's not a great fit, I think the actual tool required is called a 'ribes'. I am unsure of what size is equivalent.. M10?
maybe someone else could help on this.

The seat bolts are actually Ribe socketed rather than Torx. This is probably why some people report a bad fit and problems with the very tight bolts. Others manage OK using a Torx. If anybody finds the Torx isn't fitting right, get the Ribe.

Sorry, I don't off hand.

EDIT: A quick Googling suggests it may be an M8, but that may well be the thread. I guess thread size and socket size are related.

Torx 50 will fit nice just take your time and try to use a good ratchet turn slow and not try to undo very sharply and job will go smooth Arctic

So much easier with the seats out though , on the plus side , you can have a really good vacuum before they go back....

I sent a message to a tool seller on Ebay:

Dear mytoolbuddy,

Is the M8 Ribe equivalent to a Torx T50 in size or do I require a M10?
regards

Dear ver*****6,

M8 is the closest to the T50 just a tad smaller, M10 is a bit bigger than T50, Regards Mick

- mytoolbuddy

So is it a tad smaller or bit bigger??
Are we saying M8?

The 'Ribe' size is definitely M8 - worked for me!

Some folks report the removal of these bolts as being very straightforward, but make sure you apply plenty of downward pressure to the bolt head when attempting to loosen them, especially if these are being removed for the first time ( I managed to round one off using a Torx bit).
Due to the fact that these bolts have Loctite applied to them (mine did, facelift version) it is more difficult than it should be to remove them.
Once removed for the first time, subsequent removal is much easier.

Tommy :-)

How did you remove the rounded one? I have the same problem with one bolt!
