Gutted!

Took my 75 for MOT this morning, and it failed.

Fortunately, it had passed by this afternoon.

They found it had a broken rear spring. He said, we can fix it this afternoon and re-rest it if you like. Crack on I replied!

When I collected it, he said "that wasn't bad at all for a car of this age" I replied, yes but you have just broken its impressive track record, that was the first time it has ever failed. He laughed as said " I have never seen anyone so disappointed with a pass.

Did you have a pair of springs fitted?

Yes, I did. Although the mechanic kept telling me it was a waste of time and money. He said, on the front yes, maybe, but not necessary on the rear.

You made the right decision there & not very good advice from the mechanic!

The rear is just as important as the front.
