V6 2.0 to V6 2.5
A local member has a V6 (manual) with a dead 2.0 ltr engine, my daughter has a complete 2.5 ltr V6 (manual) which she’s selling cheaply, I know about the electronics and the higher tune and the need to swop the EMS, EWS & transponder but at the same time I’ve never heard of anyone doing it. Any reason why?

Probably because It's a lot of work for little gain as an 'upgrade' option.
Plus the fact that the 2.0 KV6 seemed to be more refined. |

If the 2.0 is broken, then fit the 2.5 it will be a lot nicer, you won’t need to swap the immobiliser just recode the original ecu with the new zcs coding and all will be ok.

To recode the original ECU with the new ZCS coding sounds interesting but then I would have to have a working T4 which I don't. So the 2.5 litre tune is already in the ECU - I imagined that the ECU (EMS) would have to be recoded. Regards |
