Been ploughing through all the detective and courtroom boxset series during lockdown that I never bothered watching when they were first broadcast.

Cracking set of cars in Inspector George Gently as well, 1960s cars and vehicles mainly. It's a right old trip trip down memory lane.

Never paid more than 50 quid for a Granada, and weighed them in for not that much less. Cheap hobby and usually great fun!

And the same car after a slight mishap due to driver error!

Yep happened again tonight with the first of the two Jags that were smashed - one at the start and and the other in the final scene. Come to think of it the boot shot up well before the crash!

If you look closely most of them have a few dents here and there before they get trashed, some quite big ones too. They probably had a tight budget for guest vehicles.

I use to banger race, and on a lot of cars the boot use to fly open with just a small tap. Good rope and then tie it back down.

Well this evening's episode had a two tone Jag which actually looked quite clean, but they still crashed it. Interestingly as it fell on its side you could see thay had covered the sunroof and added a mysterious top bracket on one side which wasn't there during the chase.

Thought it might have been an Accro to protect the driver if it rolled completely over but when they pulled it back on its wheels I couldn't see one.
