Default Heating!

now that the cold weather's arrived I notice that there is very little heat coming from the passenger foowell on my 1.8t. The driver's side is fine. Any ideas on the problem please?

Hi Don. If you click the search button above on the right, put ‘heating passenger side’ in the search area, you will have more suggestions than you can shake a stick at. Let us know how you get on please.

As the heater matrix starts to block up internally it's the passenger side that blocks up first then followed by the drivers side. Expect cold feet shortly.---

Try back flushing the matrix, put one end of the pipe in a bucket and the other end to a hosepipe, see how much crud comes out..

I think I read on here somewhere that the matrix was taken off and filled with a strong flushing solution. Left over night and was then able to be flushed clear the next day.

Not too hard to get the matrix out. Putting it back in was a tad more difficult lining up the pipes.---Some have even cut the ends off both pipes and fitted a short hose with two jubilee clips. Successfully.---
