Default 75CDI stuck

I emailed the op this morning and had a reply, it is indeed the spring that has snapped, a local garage is collecting repairing then dropping the car off again.

Hope you mentioned spring protectors Andy. I know they aren't 100% effective but every spring I've had let go they have saved the tyre if fitted and cost a tyre when they weren't. I make a point of fitting them to all new acquisitions.
