And back to reality.
My granddaughter who is 3 has been isolating with her mum and dad since Saturday - one of her nursery carers had tested positive. This afternoon she developed a very high temperature. This thing is real, it is easily caught. Keep safe |

Well it was obvious that the present "lockdown" is to appease the electorate and obvious that it would be repeated after Christmas.
So, stay safe, be wary of all and look after your own. |

Some are so adamant that there is no need to wear masks and socially distance that they refuse to do so. Putting both themselves and those unfortunate enough to find themselves near them, at risk.
Being called a “masker” by such people is a badge I wear with pride. I am pleased I did my bit to help protect not just those I love but all those near me. Couldn't agree more Clive. Simple guidelines that many choose to ignore. Last edited by Nick Greg; 19th November 2020 at 07:54.. Reason: grammar |

Alf: Yours number 851, 18/11 at 19.29.
Nail, head, no sore thumb. A degree of caution and constancy from our 'elders and betters' would be to some advantage. I read today that the latest results of intensive lab studies into the anti-virus jab enables immunity from the disease. They go on to add "...for a period up to 8 months". So immunity has suffered from a wasting disease of the vocabulary and has transmogrified into what used to be called "getting over the initial infection". Just another example of precisely why a critical view of every single dot and comma that escapes should be examined for context. It stinks. If anybody went to buy a car and found as many faults in the salesman's description they would buy a bike. To correct other false assumptions: There is and has not been outright denial of supposed remedies that I have seen. Just warnings of possible anomalies in everyday language. The need for caution regarding the obvious discrepancies from day to day of questionable advice, nay, instruction punishable by prosecution, in any other field would be glaringly obvious. That is all before we get to the mismanagement by ham-fisted under-qualified staffers paraded like circus acts while Ministers cower behind 'privilege'.

On the TV news today at 1.00pm, it looks like we need the front half of a pantomime horse given that we already have the rear end alive and kicking in Westminster.
In mitigation of their varying position and after insisting that they have only followed the science, it is now disclosed that the science was flawed. The scientists failed to examine the effect of transfer from one care home to the next and how it might affect the pandemic process. Those scientists doing the research and moving from one hospital to another, after examining infected patients and systems, then moving on to care homes, were apparently unaware and failed to consider the possibility of transfer. Really? 1st year Med School stuff. Not the government’s fault of course, they were only following the unarguable science.

Hey, Clive.
Reading your post above you get the sense of the champion foot ball team from Timbuctoo telling us they have all the information they need to become world champions. They have no idea !!!!!! The authorities are like the ball bearing in a pin ball machine with the pins being half baked ideas compiled by glory seekers being simply dropped into the pot. Random strikes produce random ideas thrust at the general public as the truth--the whole truth--and nothing but the truth. HALLELUJAH--------and pass the ammunition.-- |
