Default Front Pinch Bolt

I know these can be a pain to undo.
I did some work on me car and bearing in mind I intend to change the top bearings on the front suspension some time soon.
I started to undo the pinch bolts.
They both turned about 3 complete turns.
Do members think this is enough to tell me that they will be ok to remove then needed soon?

Lucky you, I am surprised they were so easy, so yes I would expect them to easily come out the rest of the way.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Thank ---- for that.
I must admit I was a bit worried about them.

Is there a need to remove the pinch bolt or can I remove the suspension by just slackening the pinch bolt off a few turns?

Usually, if you can get the bolt to move in the first place, it will come out.

Assuming you are talking about the pinch bolt that holds the strut assembly into the hub then yes, you'll need to remove the bolt completely.

Even if you were talking about the lower ball joint pin (that goes into the hub), that bolt would also need to be removed before the ball joint pin will release.
