Default Lets get some polybushes! (please help)

Powerflex and Superflex make some good quality and very durable polyurethane bushes for many cars, but nothing for the suspension on the ZT/75.

We really could do with one of them making polybushes for the front arm rear bush. These would probably cost no more than a new standard one, but would last basically for ever and reduce any tramlining, torque steer and increase steering feel.

We need numbers to get them to make them. If you are interested in these bushes it would be great if you could enquire about them at the following email addresses:

[email protected] or use this link http://www.powerflex.co.uk/contact_us.php

[email protected]

Ive used both companies in the past and the prices are very reasonable compared to OEM bushes and the quality is great. They really should last the lifetime of the car.

This is the enquiry I sent them:

Quote:
To whom this may concern,

I am a Rover 75 owner and have been looking at uprating the bushes on my car.

I was very impressed with the improvement gained with the bushes supplied for my Rover 200 Coupe and wanted to do the same for the 75. However I'm disappointed to see the lack of options available for the Rover 75.

I understand that you may be reluctant to produce them due to a lack of interest. However even though a full range of bushes may be out of the question I know the front arm rear bush is one that has been known to be changed earlier in the cars life cycle.

Is there a chance you could add this to the range at all?

Many thanks,
Mr Blake

Thanks!

Remember this isnt a commitment to buy anything, just a request. The more we make, the higher the chance these bushes will be made and regular MOT failures for these bushes will be gone.

They make universal bushes. Would none of those fit?

It's a good idea then. I fitted a powerflex engine mount to my engine mount, made so much different. I can only image the different it would make on the arms.

I can only comment on what they did on my 420 GSI turbos. They reduced torque steer, made the turn in sharper and increased stability under braking. I broke one 420 after a year or so of use and the bushes were in perfect condition. Once cleaned of the assembly lubricant they looked like brand new ones! They simply dont wear at all, they dont shrink, split or sag.

I have emailed my support of the idea to Polyflex. Everyone with a similar view should do the same.

Default powerflex wishbone bushes

Well done Rovex cdti for getting on the case, as ive go though wishbone bushes every 3 months the best ones on the market at the moment are Unipart which has more rubber and less holes for movement than than any other bush on the market im just in the process of making my second warranty claim for these bushes and what i have done now is to fill holes with no more nails which seems to have worked and now no more driveline movement when accelerating and deaccelerating also powerflex are working on a diesel engine mount so form members could also email them for when this product will be marketed
