CDT Engine Number location
Hi all,
I would really appreciate some urgent help, I have just imported a CDT from Uk and am registering it with the authorities out here and need to show the engine number. The actual one one the block as they need to see both chassis and engine number to proceed. Can anyone give a clue as to where it is please? When the dust settles I will introduce myself and enclose some pictures, details etc but in meanwhile... if someone can give me some quick help. Thanks Mick T |

It's stamped vertically on the flange between engine & gearbox

Hi David,
Thanks for that but I have looked all over the flange (as far as I can), it was suggested that I take it to the main MOT Station in Limassol which I have just returned from. Now the really bad news, they could not find it after looking for nearly an hour. Without the authorities seeing it, or an MOT Station verifying it, I cannoot proceed to registration here. Crazy situation as they can see it's the original but after they joined the EU they want to be seen to do all things correctly. I have no idea what to do if it's not to be found. Does anyone have a more specific location please? It may be warmer here, the beer much cheaper, the fuel much cheaper but officialdom can drive you crazy! Mick T |

I've had a quick look to try and see mine, and it's completely covered by pipes. If they want to see it, I fear you may have to remove some bits to try and see it.

Hi David,
Good news, I went into the main dealers out here on my way to the port and they could not help me until Friday but then went to another MOT Station who found the engine number and issued a certificate that was good enough for Cyp Customs. Now all I have to do is register it on Friday. Must now introduce myself properly on the main forum. Thanks for your help Mick |
