Default Mystery plastic in windscreen!

I have just noticed something quite odd in my windscreen. Passenger side right at the very top corner there is a little horizontal strip of plastic stuck to the inside with a wire that goes into the headlining.

I am assuming that it is some kind of antenna.

Perhaps it has something to do with the two cables that are sticking out from the side of the centre console in the passenger footwell and the square patch in the middle of the dash where something has obviously been stuck in the past?

Ideas guys?

Here are pics of the three items :

It will be a business mobile phone car kit from previous owner.
Sounds like the seller hasn't removed the full kit properly!

Hi Snowy, Can't identify the antenna but I think you may have to see where the two wires go to. I suspect the answer may lie at the end of them.
Is there anything in the centre cubby box under the armrest?

Russ

That one may come in handy should you want to install a sat nav system in the dash as it probably has connectors for both GPS and GSM.

My guess is Snowy will find the end of the cables just "chopped off" at the end!!
Like so many of these kits, the car dealers take the easy option of just ripping them out

I usually remove them fully intact and sell the phone kit for increased profits.

I think I will have a look to see where they go actually. There doesn't seem to be anything unusual in the cubby box but then again I haven't had a proper look in there!

In my case I have the TMC traffic updates antenna for my aftermarket HU exactly there.
