Please help...Autobox will not go into Park - Page 2

Now sorted.My dad went out today and repetitively pulled the trigger on the gear knob whilst moving through the various gear positions.He said that after several times of doing this the trigger appeared to become easier to operate but still would not go into Park.He then went for a short drive and when he got back the lever went straight into Park no problem and has been ok ever since! Another one of those mystery problems solved.Thanks to everyone for their help

Is PPPP still showing on the display ??

He didn't mention it so I presume it is no longer showing.
