The bottom picture has a subtle lift to the levels, a little bit brighter but only a shade Pete

To enter into the spirit of things I had a crack at it. I fiddled for 15 mins and came up with this. Slightly different and no better.

Looks good to me Paul

My edit was on the iphone using a program called Filter Storm which seems to work pretty well and is not to destructive if you exercise restraint

Any other suggestions with the photo Paul, not just editing but compositionally etc?

Maybe you could ask them to stop and then use a tripod.

I am not going to try and advise anyone, let alone you on the composition of motorsport pics as I have no clue.

I agree with Mark that a tweek to brightness, tone or contrast may just lift it a little. Not easy on a cloudy day.

Edit: Oh I did add just a hint of vignette which is always an option worth trying. All down to personal taste really,

Last edit from me, added a bit of sharpening and adjusted the shadows and highlights slightly

Well I did stand on the track at one point.....Guess I could have flagged them down for a static shot

The Duke of Portland boat house on Ullswater, it's often been photographed but I'm never there early morning or late evening. The best angle is apparently to the left of where I was standing and about 20 feet forward.......in the water A 'quick' passing shot when I was in the area with the new 1d body I'm now using
