75 abs
Hi folks, can anybody recommend a Rover 75 ABS expert in the South East? The problem doesn’t seem all that drastic but the mechanics I have tried are totally unfamiliar with 75s.

Can you give a description of your ABS problems as accurate as you can, obviously there can be many varied problems, but a description can help the good folk on here to provide tests and possible causes or solutions

75 abs
Grinding, crunching noise, seemingly coming from front offside at low braking speed. New discs and pads all round, new abs sensor on front near side. When driving, abs light comes on occasionally and the noise stops and braking seems smooth. If I remove the abs fuse, no noise but handbrake and abs light remain on. Couple of mechanics looked at it, including the one who replaced the sensor but no joy. Problem stopped at one point for about 6 weeks but then started again.

The trouble is without a proper diagnosis you will be changing parts that don’t need changing!

I think that if it were a bearing, the noise would be there all the time but it disappears when the abs light comes on or the fuse is removed.
