I see you've received PMs and presumably they are telling you how to do this. The senders may or may not have mentioned that you need to remove the slider in the bonnet cable splitter box on the offside inner front wing and turn it through 180 degrees to stop this happening again.

We have a full kit of Cables, the plastic shuttle and cover assembly here:
https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/rov...0140-fse000150 They'll allow you to replace whichever part let go in the first place. If you need the bonnet latches too, we have these due in 6 weeks.

What exactly is it that fails in this mechanism? I've noticed my bonnet release is quite tricky to operate. It only releases the latches at the very extreme end of its travel, like I'm forcing it somehow. And the lever never returns properly! Why not?!

Undo the four 8mm bolts that hold the bonnet catches to the slam panel, get someone to work the bonnet release while you spray some lubricant into the catches, once free just nip the bolts very gently.

Trikey beat me, damn one finger typing You can also tap the slam panel either side of the catches with a hammer to release the half moons Last edited by suzublu; 8th November 2021 at 20:21.. |
