Hi David - I've not done rds 3.11. on my T4 build using XP, 5.06 just installs from a standard installation and then "takes over" the OS.

I don't have a copy of 3.11 in my collection to try, but if you wanted to send me a copy I could run it up on a Virtual machine and see if I can work it out for you.

Hi David,

I have it (more or less) working on a test VM. it doesnt detect the hardward that it should do in the T2 (as its not there!) but it does work.

It seems there is no real instructions on the disc - in fact there is a file that says they did not have time to write them due to time constraints!!!

It was a bit of a faff, as there seems to be an error in the install batch file which means it wont work first of.

Its all MS-DOS stuff, which takes me back. Not touched it really in over 20 years, but it all came back!

I just need to work out the best way of explaining - it might make sence to create you a boot disk that works and does it for you. leave it with me, ill give it some more thought, but I thought i'd update you that I have made progress.

David - I have made a boot disk that should work. I cant test it as I dont have T2 hardware.

only run it on a system with a blank harddrive as it will format it as part of the install.

You may need to partition the disk using fdisk with another dos boot disk first

(I got one from here:- https://www.allbootdisks.com/download/dos.html)

PM me your email. and Ill send you an image file of the bootdisk I made for this.

David - you have an email

Basically, I found that 3.11 includes Windows 95 within it, or a cut down version of. so you don't need to install it first. On my install, just booting from the Disk I have sent you installed the whole RDS environment (although I had lots of hardware issues, as I was doing it in a VM to be expected!)

Its quite a bit different to T4 / RDS 5.06
